Why is the wedding in Minnesota?

The bride was born and raised in Minnesota.

What is the weather like in Minneapolis in May?

Spring and Summers are amazing in Minneapolis. Historically the weather in mid-May is between 75-85 degrees.

When should I arrive in Minneapolis?

We recommend arriving in Minneapolis Thursday night or Friday morning.

How can I best prepare for a Nigerian traditional wedding?

Be prepared for a big party, lavish arrangements, beautiful outfits, and a celebration to remember. Traditional aspects of a Nigerian wedding include the money spray (don't forget your 1's).

Are kids welcomed?

Though we love your little ones, our wedding will not be able to accommodate children (under 18 years old). We politely ask that you do not bring your children.

Can I bring a plus one?

Unfortunately, due to venue constraints, we're not able to accommodate plus ones for everyone. We hope you understand and can still join us for the celebration.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

All events will be indoors.

What if I have dietary restrictions?

Both events will be a variety of traditional Nigerian foods. If you have any allergic or dietary restrictions please email adenikeandquadir@gmail.com and we will try our best to accommodate your request.

Will there be a open bar?

In accordance with our religious beliefs and values, we have decided not to have an open bar at our wedding. We kindly ask for your understanding and support as we celebrate this significant moment in our lives.

Is there a dress code?

Yes! Please come dressed to impress. For the Traditional Nigerian Engagement: Traditional Cultural Attire or Semi Formal Cocktail Attire in Jewel Tones For the Nikkah Ceremony: Islamic Modest Attire. Women must have their hair covered. For the Wedding Reception: Black Tie formal attire. Please refrain from black and red dresses
